Ubisoft E3 2013 Conference - Gallery

Ubisoft unveiled a mix of exciting and not-so-exciting IPs today. The conference could have been better if the host wasn't quite so talkative. Anyway, here's the image gallery for Ubisoft's conference. Also, our coverage article is already live so check it out as well!

Ubisoft E3 2013 Conference - Coverage

Ubisoft sure knows how to kick off their conference with one of the most highly anticipated titles of the year like Rocksmith 2014? Yeah, that is happening and it will be out this October.

EA E3 2013 Conference - Gallery

EA brought some guns to the table this year with Dragon Age Inquisition, Titanfall, Star Wars Battlefront, a new Mirrors Edge game and Need for Speed! Here's our second image gallery from E3 2013. And, as always, definitely read up on the coverage and our thoughts in our article on EA's overall presentation.

Five Exciting Trailers Shown at gamescom 2012!

Quite a bit was shown at gamescom this year! Here I have posted five trailers that I found somewhat promising. The first is Dead Space 3. While the trailer definitely conveys new concepts for the game, I see a lot of visual and gameplay elements in the trailer that strongly remind me of the original. See for yourselves!

Assassin's Creed Revelations - Review

There are few series that get me as excited as a new installment of Assassin's Creed does. From the intricate storytelling to some of the best original characters in video games today. I am always salivating at the chance to play more of these terrific games. Now that Revelations is here and I have already played through it's main story, I am hungry for more. But first I feel the game must be recognized for its successes and in some cases failures.

World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Impressions - Blizzcon 2011

At Blizzcon this year Blizzard Entertainment unveiled their all new World of Warcraft expansion, Mists of Pandaria. After being shrouded in mystery for over 10,000 years the events of the cataclysm have unveiled the continent of Pandaria and its people the Pandaren. The Pandaren have been hinted at in past Warcraft titles but until now not much has been revealed about them.

I had the chance at Blizzcon to play through most of the Pandaren starting zone and experience the brand new Monk class. The story is that you are a Pandaren who has grown curious of the outside world; Blizzard is calling this ‘Wonderlust’. You are aboard ‘The Wandering Isle’ which is in fact a massive turtle, and here you will undergo trials before you can leave to continental Azeroth.

Diablo 3 Beta - Impressions

Recently, I was granted access to the Diablo 3 Beta. This is a game that I have been looking forward to since its announcement at the 2008 Blizzard Entertainment World Wide Invitational in Paris. I can still remember sitting down and watching the live stream with a few friends in the early morning. At Blizzcon in 2008, 2009, and 2010 I had the opportunity to play through each of the different demos, and the game has gone through some dramatic changes at each of its appearances. But we are now looking at a near final build of the game; now Blizzard just needs some help testing!

The Darkness II - PAX Prime 2011 Demo Impressions

At PAX Prime this year, one demo that stood out to me was The Darkness II. Having not played its prequel, I am quite uneducated as to its storyline. But, it's fast-paced first-person shooter/action style gameplay in combination with its dark humor and fantasy aspects seemed like a promising combination. As Jackie Estacado, the main character, wields two firearms and two demonic tendrils, the game offers the player up to four weapons to manage at once. The trade-off used to provide challenge is a weakness to light. Hence, the player must traverse through the game, eliminating all lights before moving forward, as not to be drained of health. The 'Mature' factor is also an obvious aspect of the game.

Telltale Games Update - PAX Prime 2011

If there is one small developer to keep your eyes on it would have to be Telltale Games. These good people are masters at marrying story and game. Their style is reminiscent of the once popular point-and-click adventure games but are also up to today's high standards of quality and innovation. They most recently made Back to the Future: The Game; which follows the events of the third movie in an all new romp through time with Marty and Doc. But Telltale Games has a few more cards up their sleeves as I found at PAX this year.

Jurassic Park: The Game - PAX Prime 2011 Demo Impressions

For the first time at PAX Prime 2011, playable scenes from the second episode of Jurassic Park: The Game were debuted for the world to see. No longer is the untold story of what happened on Isla Nublar after the events of Jurassic Park (1993 film) shrouded in the islands mist.

The Walking Dead (Game) - Minutes with Robert Kirkman

Just yesterday I heard that Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead comics, was going to be at my local comic book shop doing a signing for is new comic The Infinite. I thought I would bring some of my Walking Dead books and pick up his new comic and get them all signed.

When it was my turn to get my books signed the line got held up, so I had Robert Kirkman at my disposal for a few minutes. I decided I would ask him about The Walking Dead game that he and Telltale Games are working on.
