Today, a Best Buy in Santa Monica hosted The Nintendo Experience for all of southern California - A Best Buy exclusive event where fans were allowed to demo one of four upcoming Wii U games showcased at E3 and shown during the Nintendo E3 2013 Direct on Tuesday (Click here to read up on that coverage, and here for pictures from it). The games were Super Mario 3D World. Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD. Before the event started, Nintendo representatives had the first twenty in line sign release wavers to be on camera, providing us with black wristbands. Our names were then taken down and put in multiplayer groups for our demos of choice. A Best Buy clerk also handed out fliers advertising the four Nintendo Zone exclusive promo items** for Animal Crossing new leaf on 3DS - a game which we are currently enjoying and had attained a little early.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - Review
Almost five years to the date we have
waited for the next console based 'The Legend of Zelda' title to
arrive. After being teased by some concept art at E3 in 2009, Zelda
fans have been waiting for this day. Now that this day has come and
gone I have prepared my review for you to read.
I want to preface this review by saying
that I have done my very best to not spoil anything related directly
to the story and it's characters outside of the game's opening but I
will be talking about certain gameplay mechanics that some might find
spoilery.

The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony (Los Angeles) - Track Downloads
While our coverage of The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony may have come to an end we still have a few parting gifts for you. First we have every track played from the Los Angeles show at The Pantages Theater available for listening and download right here. These were recorded by us at the show and we believe them to be of good quality. We could not control the audience so there may be some coughs and crying (us included) but it is fairly rare.
The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony - Gallery
This year's Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony was a spectacle to not be missed! Conducted by Eimer Noone, and featuring appearances from Eiji Aonuma and Koji Kondo, this orchestrated performance took us all down memory lane, paying tribute to all of Link's console and DS adventures. This gallery takes a look at the artwork and atmosphere presented throughout the Pantages Theater, as well as the anniversary symphony presentation. Click an image to see it at full size.

The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony - Coverage
The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony performed by Orchestra Nova blasted us with continuous, eighteen-foot waves of nostalgia, under which we could barely cling to our inner masculinity. And it hurt too good to be true! Conductor Eimear Noone did a fantastic job in bringing the legacy to life through the wide variety of different instruments and sounds, and was clearly well informed about the series, making direct references to its key characters, regions, story events and game titles throughout the performance.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D - Game Review
The 3D revision of arguably one of the best games of all time hit store shelves last Sunday, June 19, 2011 – The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. There is no denying the simple fact that the original Nintendo 64 adaption to the series had a following that nearly rivaled that of Final Fantasy VII. It was the game that introduced three-dimensional graphics to the already hugely popular franchise... And now its back, in a new kind of 3D!June 14, 2011
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - E3 2011 Demo Impressions
For nearly five years we have gone without a console Zelda experience. While Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks are fine games in their own right, they just can’t compete with the console outings. This will all be changing this year with the release of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Officially announced to be the prequel of Ocarina of Time, the game is sure to reveal many answers to questions players have about the mythology and lore surrounding the Zelda series. Details on the story are still scarce but that should be changing in the next couple of months as the game gets closer to its release.
