The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony (Los Angeles) - Track Downloads

While our coverage of The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony may have come to an end we still have a few parting gifts for you. First we have every track played from the Los Angeles show at The Pantages Theater available for listening and download right here. These were recorded by us at the show and we believe them to be of good quality. We could not control the audience so there may be some coughs and crying (us included) but it is fairly rare.

You can read our coverage of the symphony; check out some high quality scans of the program handed out; and our gallery from the event itself.

Last and certainly not least by leaving a comment on this page and letting us know what your favorite track from the concert was you will be entered into a random drawing to get your very own program from the show. This program contains exclusive artwork and comments from the creators of The Legend of Zelda series.

Please make sure to be logged into the website or leave some form of contact information when commenting so we can contact the winner. If you do post logged into the site please be sure that your profile contains public contact information. You must be a resident of the United States to be eligible for the prize. Contest ends Saturday, November 4th, 2011 at 11:59pm PST.

Enjoy and good luck!

  4. It's so difficult to choose, but I have to give in to my inner nostalgic and choose The Legend of Zelda Main Theme Medley. It's such an inspiring interpretation of the source of all things we enjoy today. Gives me goosebumbs just hearing it again...

  5. Think my favourite is the Twilight Princess Symphonic Movement. TP is my favourite game with my favourite tracks, so it had to be it.

  6. Wow can't wait for my CD now. My favorite track was definitely Gerudo Valley. I loved what they did with it, it felt so powerful and emotional.

It is sooo nostalgic and reminds me of playing the games as a small child.

  10. Every track was simply amazing. I liked the Selected Shorts Suite because it just had those little tunes we all know and love. Tunes we could recognize within the first 3 notes. Because Zelda music is just that recognizable. and that amazing.
and the orchestrated the Milk Bar. 3 thumbs up to that.

  11. @Non-Epic: If you have beaten Ocarina of Time, you remember the ending where Zelda takes the ocarina back from Link, plays the Song of Time, and returns them to the past. During that segment, Zelda's Lullaby was playing. I remember it bringing tears to my eyes then, and I'm proud to say that when the orchestra played that song, it all came rushing back to me. So I understand where you're coming from.

  12. (xcmmaster@gmail.com) This is epic :)

  13. Wow... I'm flashed. Okay, it's not perfect the whole time and sometimes, they are off the beat, BUT... it is a live performance! Heck, I know how it is to perform live! What really counts is the feeling that comes across and THAT is what this orchestra really did great!!
I'm just listening to Ganondorf's theme... the beginning is quite epic

  14. Skyward Sword Main Theme! I'm so totally hyped for the game!

  17. What was everyone laughing at at 0:54 in the Wind Waker Symphonic Movement?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Favorite: hard to say. Probably either the Ganondorf medley or Wind Waker medley. IMO, there had to be a LOT more of Majora's Mask in there

  19. Oops, sry, forgot to log in somehow (I was the "Anonymous" from 1:11 PM, October 29).
Well, now that I managed to listen to every song and considering pro and cons, my vote goes to number 9, "The Legend of Zelda Selected Shorts Suite". I just love how they mash together tunes of differente Zelda games, especially of A Link to the Past. Close second is still Ganondorf's Theme and of course number 3.

(accidentally removed my own comment... only wanted to edit it LOL)

  22. Wind Waker had me on the floor balling. :) Greatest game ever. Zelda totally deserved a party like this.

  23. I'd really love to know what they're all laughing at. You really miss stuff when you're not there:(

  24. Wind Waker Movement. By far. And the Hyrule Castle Theme. Both had me bawling. :) I wish I was there, I grew up Zelda and have always and always will be forever in love with series, and it's music. :'-)

People are laughing at what they were showing on the screen. The music pretty much tells you what funny scenes we were seeing.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oh gosh, it's all good, how can I choose just one?! I guess I'll go with track 11: "Hyrule Field from Ocarina of Time". But the LOZ Main theme was a close second.

  31. I wish I could've gone! Gerudo Valley, my favorite Zelda song EVER, was absolutely amazing.

  32. This music is incredible. I remember them mentioning that it would be going on tour in 2012, can anyone confirm this?

  34. @Dan

You are correct they will be going on tour next year with even more music.

    ReplyDelete
  35. It's hard to choose just one, all of the pieces played are just too wonderful!
I guess my choice would be the Skyward Sword Main Theme because it brings majesty and softness to the piece. Plus I like what new music Koji Kondo can create with every Zelda game.

Since I like classical music in general, Zelda holds a lot of meaning to me :]

I grew up with the Zelda series, and to think that it could have come this far from the pixelated adventure it started out as is amazing. I couldn't go to the concert, but I'm eager for their tour next year! It is my personal dream to work for Nintendo as a muscician. I can't wait for Skyward Sword, I've had it preordered since last July! And I Have countdown calender in my room! lol!
    :D

  39. Recording quality was great! Of course, I am looking forward to the unadulterated (no audience) version hopefully found on the discs that Nintendo sends out with Skyward Sword!

My favorite track was the "Windwaker Symphonic Movement" Windwaker had some really great music and hearing it translated into this form was really entertaining!

  40. the 25th annyversary medley. inspiring and beutyfull, even when cut by applause

    ReplyDelete
  41. The Wind Waker section was quite moving and was definitely the best in the show.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Honestly, being of the generation that found Zelda with Ocarina of Time, I found Princess Zelda's Theme to be the most moving of them all.

  43. Loved the 25th Anniversary Medley... Fantastic!

  44. I'd have to say that my favorite songs were The 25th Anniversary Medley and the Selected Shorts Suite. I can't decide between the two, but I loved them both equally.

It's been a while since I've played through certain Zelda games, such as A Link to the Past, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, etc.
But hearing these medleys, it brought back so many memories. Even though some of the songs sounded so different, within three notes of any of the songs I could name it right in my head.
It truley was like walking down memory lane.
The feeling of nostalgia, and looking back at it all and realizing how amazing The Legend of Zelda really is, that's why these two were my favorites.

  45. I was weeping with the first few seconds and listened to all these tracks in a nostalgic daze. Sheer genius and magnificence. My favorite track was surprisingly Grandma's Theme, mostly because it was the end of the show and played by my hero Koji Kondo himself. I love these games so much. So so much. The music inspired me to pursue a career in music, which is what I study in college now. A program from this event would mean the world to me. Lindsey367@charter.net.

  46. My favorite has to be the Twilight Princess Symphonic Movement. It basically hits all of the musical highlights from that game that I would have wanted it to include, especially the absolutely gorgeous second half of the credits theme. The ending and recapitulation of Zelda's Theme is goosebumps-inducing.

And thanks so much for the recording! I was very pleasantly surprised by how good it sounds, and I am enjoying it a lot.

My favorite is the Zelda 25th Anniversary Medley. I have been waiting to hear the Dark World theme performed by a live orchestra my whole life. When I got to the theater and looked at the program, I was disappointed to see it not listed, that I wouldn't be able to hear it.

And then it appears in the 25th Anniversary Medley as a surprise. I almost cried at that point as my childhood came flooding back.

I love the whole medley, but the second half from the Dark World theme leading up to the main overworld theme was so epic that it overwhelmed me with nostalgia.

Thanks you guys for putting this up! I'm reliving the moment listening to these tracks!

As a Zelda fan since just about day 1, I've got to go with the Zelda Main Theme Medley, track 14.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Thanks so much for sharing this. Definitely looking forward to getting my CD.

After listening through all the tracks, my favorites would have to be the 25th Anniversary Medley, Main Theme Medley, and Gerudo Valley for OoT nostalgia. If I had to only choose one, then the 25th Anniversary Medley. The medleys in general bring back so many memories of the fun playing TLOZ from the first Zelda game to Spirit Tracks.

The last one! Skyward sword is most definitely my favorite soundtrack and I'm excited for the game to come out!

  52. I attended the concert as well in Los Angeles and the song that blew me away was the Twilight Princess Movement. Wasn't really looking forward to it but by the end I was in awe.

The most emotional moment was Zelda Lullaby. Just hearing those first strings brought everything back from all my days of playing Zelda and the fact I was actually in attendance to listen to this once in a lifetime experience.

I was near tears just listening to how beautiful the music flowed through you. The whole night went by in a flash and will remember it for the rest of my life.

Never have I been so moved by a video game.

P.S Thank You for the opportunity to download the symphony being able to hear it again just gives me chills

I like plugging in my ear buds, closing my eyes and the music takes me right back to that night sitting in the audience. A once in a lifetime experience to be sure.
