Wondercon (subsidary of Comicon) transpired this last weekend at the Anaheim Convention Center. It was a nice experience for both game demos and steetpasses! Here are a few photos taken at the convention that we'd like to share.

Five Exciting Trailers Shown at gamescom 2012!

Quite a bit was shown at gamescom this year! Here I have posted five trailers that I found somewhat promising. The first is Dead Space 3. While the trailer definitely conveys new concepts for the game, I see a lot of visual and gameplay elements in the trailer that strongly remind me of the original. See for yourselves!

The Bit Beacon Weekly Transmission 1.15.12 - 1.21.12

The site has been quiet for the past month and for that we greatly apologize. Now that the busy game season has ended we decided this would be a good time to start reporting some of the more noteworthy stories during the week. If you don't have the time to constantly check the internet for news, rumors, and whatever else might be going on you can head over to The Bit Beacon every Saturday from here on out for a summary of the biggest and most interesting stories from the week. Every story will have a source link below it and you can click on that link to read the expanded story if it piques your interests.

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D - Game Review

In 2011, the Resident Evil series celebrates fifteen years of terror. With three brand new games in the works and two high definition remakes on the way. Fans have more than enough to look forward to this year and the next. But first Capcom is getting the party started with Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D on the Nintendo 3DS.

The Mercenaries 3D takes from both Resident Evil 4 and 5’s Mercenary modes and mixes them together with some new content. Familiar characters, enemies, maps, modes and more appear with some new additions that will be sure to spice things up for even veteran players.

Resident Evil: Revelations - E3 2011 Demo Impressions

The E3 2011 demo starts with Jill asleep in bed. She wakes up and finds herself in what appears to be a familiar mansion. She then receives a transmission from her partner, Parker, a new character to the series. I then took control of Jill with the goal of meeting up with Parker. I wont bore you with an exact retelling of the entire demo. Instead, this is what I thought worked well for the game

The game appears to run at 30fps with the 3D on and possibly even 60fps with it off. Either way was very smooth and I experienced no graphical hiccups. Jill’s character model looked as if she came right out of Resident Evil 5 without losing any of the detail. She is looking better than ever!
